Confronted by our current situation, I couldn't help but think of Paul when he was in prison...in effect, quarantined. Like us, he did not choose to be stuck in one place; unable to be with the believers and churches that he longed to commune with. He wrote this from prison: "Now I want you to know brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel." Philippians 1:12. One of the main reasons we have Paul's part of the New Testament is because he was in prison and forced to write letters. This is amazing - prison was not a good thing and yet God used it for good to advance the gospel in many ways. No doubt you see where this is headed. The virus is not a good thing but God is still using it to advance the gospel!
