Reflect Campus Missions is a ministry of the Newark Church of Christ, located in Newark, Delaware. In addition to sponsoring a campus ministry, The Blue Hens for Christ, at the University of Delaware campus, Reflect is pursuing a vision of training new campus missionaries through a campus ministry apprenticeship and sending them out to plant new campus ministries on North American college/university campuses.
The Blue Hens for Christ kicked off the fall semester with "Welcome Week" for students. Joe and Sue Giubardo (Joe is a shepherd with the Newark Church of Christ) brought their food truck to serve their awesome liege waffles to many students stopping by to check out the campus ministry. As a result, new contacts were made and some of those students have returned to participate in some other activities. One of these activities was a trip to Lums Pond, followed by a cookout on Labor Day.
This past Sunday evening, Blue Hens for Christ, hosted a worship gathering called "Seek" for students on the University of Delaware campus. Seek is a monthly gathering for all students, especially those who are seeking something more in life and are curious about Christianity. The first gathering had about twenty-five people show up and not that we are putting stock in numbers but we do pray that more will come. Most importantly, we pray that this is a way to help students learn to put their faith in Jesus Christ.
On Thursday, November 7, 2024, Reflect will host our Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser.
This year's golf tournament will take place at the Newark Country Club, 300 W. Main St., Newark, DE 19711. In addition to the golf game, there will be a raffle and prizes. We will also have Wafflin' Joe Food Truck with us in the morning for you to order their own roasted coffee and an assortment of waffles for breakfast. You can register for the golf tournament here.
